Dear friends--The blog post I had here was a very intense piece of writing about my history of abuse, set in historical context. It was a good piece of writing and I am proud of it, but publishing it left me more exposed than I was ready for, and led to a painful personal backlash, so, for the present, I've removed it from public view. Thank you to those who wrote to express their support and appreciation.

Aurora, I don't have the words to express what I am feeling but I just want to give you a hug and thank you for your bravery and eloquence. I don't know anyone else who could take such a tragic personal experience and weave it so deftly into a greater history that connects us all. So very beautifully and bravely written. You are amazing. Big hug.

I read it and I'll re-read it. You do us honor by telling us your story and letting us hold it with you. I know that is a sacred, brave act and that holding it is an act of soldarity not to be taken lightly. . I do not take it lightly.

Thank you for this Aurora. I send you love and respect. What happened was wrong. Your writing, as usual, is of the highest quality, both in style and content. I wish you all the best as you continue your journey.

I especially like this: "My molestation began when I was four years old. I don't know what it is to have been untampered with. But then neither does anyone else. We are all collectively sexually manipulated, exploited, deliberately aroused for purposes other than our pleasure, and often for profit. We live in a world in which human trafficking, often for sexual slavery, is neck and neck with the illegal arms trade, and second only to narco-trafficking in size and profitability among global criminal enterprises. The crime against me is just one small strand in the sticky tangle of closely related and widely devastating human crimes."

Thanks for sharing this wonderful information on the internet. Your sharing will educate many readers to know about the social evils that are happening in the society. This will bring the people together on a common platform to fight off the social evils.
